The purpose of this gathering of hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal is to remind us all that we are precious, loved and innocent children of our Father-Mother God.

How often I have needed this message when I have felt burdened, unworthy, lonely, or afraid. The messages in the hymns have come to my rescue and enabled me to climb into the arms of divine Love where I find peace and healing. Ellen and I hope that you will feel something of that childlike yielding and that Fathering, Mothering embrace as you listen to these hymns.

In May of 2001 a small group of people began holding Christian Science Sunday services on the south side of St. Louis. It was a precious group of people, and Susan, a Christian Science practitioner, decided to drag out her old guitar and write some church solos.
